What a summer we have had. It went by so fast. The boys have been all boy. I titled the post what I did because we have had our share of critters and of course the puppy dog tails. I was not good at posting through the last few months, so here is a recap.
Penny discovering she loves water. 7/7
We have a tomato garden again this year and along with that comes the tomato worms. Adam loved them. Cole wanted to keep them to let them turn into butterflies. We kept four of them for about a week, but they did not get to that stage in life. Poor caterpillars. We tried.
We joined a pool to swim at this summer. We really enjoyed it.
We saw horned toads a couple of times at the pool. Cole was bound and determined to catch it. He picked one up once, but he said it's horns stuck him. It was neat to see them. We just don't see them anymore. I played with them all the time growing up.

Penny does not normally sleep with Cole, but this was too cute. And yes, Cole is sleeping with a night mask on. He has done it for almost the last two years. He found it one day and asked what it was for and has since worn it most nights. He sleeps with his closet light on and then uses the mask because of the light. Cutey! 7/25

Daddy being sweet. Adam and I were going to see Scott at work, but Adam fell asleep on the way. We took a picture just in case he was upset we didn't see Daddy when he woke up.
It has been so hot! Scott turns the sprinklers on and the boys have a ball. 8/17
7/31 Found a baby bird who we hope learned to fly.

Cole started Kindergarten today. It went surprisingly well. Neither of us cried:) He has been unsure about going, but he was pretty happy this morning. It went really smooth. I pray the rest of the week goes as smoothly.

The kids dressed up as pirates the last day of VBS. Scurvy pirates!

These are all of my grandmother's first cousins. 
There is a park across the street from the community center, so I took the boys over to play.
We had many celebrations this July weekend. My dad's birthday, my parents had their 30th Anniversary and my Grandparents celebrated their 60th Anniversary. How awesome is that! Unfortunately, I did not get one picture of my grandparents.
I made a chocolate cake to celebrate all. My dad made ice cream. Yum!
The kids had a great time playing in the water on this hot day!
